Abalone Pearl Set - Studs

Here is a pair of 8mm matching abalone mabé pearls. Unlike other earring listings, these abalone (paua) pearls are not set in silver, they are just the pearls! 

Like all the pearls from the abalone pearl farm, these are half spherical pearls. We can add sterling silver posts or 14k gold posts to these to make them into stud earrings. Or something else!  We are thrilled to work with you! Or, simply buy the pearls and create something later or with another artist!

Mabé pearls, also known as blister pearls, are half-pearls. They are cultured against the inside shell of the abalone because the abalone cannot grow a round cultured pearl.
