Barbara Bush's Secret Pearls

Happy 90th birthday Barbara Bush! I am loving Barbara Bush's Secret ... Pearls! As if we didn't know, right? Granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager interviewed Barbara in honor of her birthday today and asked her about her two most noticeable assets... pearls and white hair. 

Barbara said that she quit dying her hair because she wanted to stay active swimming and playing golf and tennis and it was hard to keep her hair from turning funny colors. As for the pearls, she said, "The pearls are to cover the wrinkles... which they no longer do! You can't wear pearls all over your face." So now we know her secret! I was happy to see her still decked out in her pearls in the interview:

Politics aside, I love a woman in pearls. And learning more about Barbara Bush in this article was pretty inspiring for me. Former President George W. Bush describes her as fearless and quick-witted, a woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. Now that is someone I can truly look up to.
